WORK EXPERIENCE

Deputy Editor for Digital, "Charlie Rose"

At "Charlie Rose," I am responsible for supervising daily operations of the website and our other digital properties. I manage scope, budgets and tasks for both editorial and technical teams, most notably during our recent redesign of the front and back end of charlierose.com. I led the digitization of more than 6,000 hours of the show, making the complete, historic archive of "Charlie Rose," including time-tagged transcripts and comprehensive metadata, available to anyone. A year after launch, our viewer counts were already up by more than 60% on the website, and by an average of 25% on other platforms. I also produce analytics and strategy reports for Charlie and other executives, and advise on digital distribution and revenue deals.  May 2014 - Present

Senior Web Producer, The Chronicle of Higher Education

I coordinated with the newsroom to produce content and execute long-term strategy. I directed other producers in making daily promotional decisions for social media, newsletters, mobile, and landing pages. I wrote analytics reports for executives, and made presentations to the newsroom on our audience and strategy. I also acted as product owner in meetings with in-house developers. Nov 2012 - Apr 2014

Web Producer, The Chronicle of Higher Education

As a producer, I assisted editors and reporters in creating features, multimedia and graphics, and reporting for a daily breaking-news blog. I managed the home page (14 mil monthly circulation), as well as our social media channels, and produced daily and weekly email newsletters for subscribers. Jun 2010 - Oct 2012

Web Consultant, Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought

I developed a comprehensive website strategy and workflow recommendations for a small but distinguished print journal. Spring 2011
